2nd Energy Efficiency Symposium
Los Angeles, CA USA
The German American Chamber of Commerce, California Branch, will hold its second “Energy Efficiency Symposium,” focusing on energy efficiency in construction, on March 10, 2009. After a successful EE Symposium with over 150 attendees in Downtown San Francisco in 2008, the 2009 conference will take place in Los Angeles. The event includes a one-day symposium that gives U.S. and German experts the opportunity to present current trends and future perspectives on the use of energy efficiency in buildings in both countries. Last year after the symposium and in the three following days, the GACC California organized 104 one-on-one meetings with 25 U.S. industry representatives ranging from architects and builders to public utilities and government officials. Amongst last year’s expert speakers were the head of the 2007 Solar Decathlon winning team and the head of sustainability at KEMA International. Participating companies from Germany included architects, energy efficient component suppliers, zero energy house manufacturers and solar companies. Participants for this year’s event are currently being selected.
