AWEA Wind Power Transmission Workshop

According to the American Wind Energy Association, electrical transmission is the biggest long term barrier to significant wind energy expansion, and is already leading to significant challenges for developers in the United States. This workshop will explore ways wind and transmission companies can make more use of existing transmission capacity, work through the logjams in interconnection queues and expand transmission capacity.

The workshop is aimed at wind developers; wind turbine manufacturers; transmission system operators, planners, and reliability authorities; state/provincial and national regulators; wind energy customers, including utilities; law firms and consultants.
